I was down in Kuala Lumpur last week for my Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 2017. I stayed in The Explorers Guesthouse which is only around 100 meters walk away from Dataran Merdeka. There are a lot of food and things to buy around this area making staying in The Explorers Guesthouse really very convenient. The place is around 1 km walk away from Pasar Seni LRT Station and Kuala Lumpur KTM Train Station.
The outlook of The Explorers Guesthouse may not look like a nice place to stay but my stay here was really awesome.
The interior of The Explorers Guesthouse looks classic and nice. A comfy backpacker hostel. The common area is tidy, well decorated and spacious.
Breakfast is also provided. Some simple bread and coffee.
The Explorers Guesthouse is a 3 story building with each level having its own common area, locker and toilet.
The rooftop is an open space with KL Tower as its background, haha !
It is really nice to come out here at night. Sit here talk with friends or getting to know new people while enjoying the night view here.
Rooms here is comfortable and clean. Air condition is cold making it nice to sleep even during hot Malaysia afternoon. Clean towel and blanket is also provided.
The shower are for ever level is good. The toilet looks old but it is good enough for me to take a nice hot shower. The Explorers Guesthouse is really a nice place to stay in. Its location is strategic, their staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi is available only at lobby area.
Getting There :
There are many ways to get there. For me, i took the ETS Train direct to Kuala Lumpur KTM Station and then walk out from the station and turn left. Walk straight until i see a Texas Chicken restaurant on my right. Keep walk straight until you see the Central Market on your left. Continue straight until a traffic light. At the traffic light turn left and you will immediately see The Explorers Guesthouse on your right.

The hotel looks descent and nice. Based on the picture I think the hotel is clean for me. I really dislike hotel that are dirty especially their mattress have stains. They should have clean it properly or remove the stains. Thanks for sharing. I love the way you categorize each post to the country that you travelled.
