It was like months ago, probably close to a year ago when i decided to purchase air tickets to go travel again. Finally it was on last April 2016, i flew off to DaNang Vietnam for travel again, haha ! Da Nang is one of the major port cities in Vietnam and the biggest city on the Central of Vietnam. It is located within 100 km of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Imperial City of Hue, the Old Town of Hoi An, and the My Son Ruins.
Flight from Kuala Lumpur directly to DaNang International Airport takes approximately around 2 hours 55 minutes. In Vietnam the currency they use is in Dong (₫) and the exchange rate at that time for me is RM1 = 5500 ₫
DaNang International Airport is not a big airport, so it is not hard to find gates for departure as well. Due to few times of flight delay at Kuala Lumpur airport, we were way past our lunch time by the time we reach DaNang airport, so the first thing we do was to look for food. It is tough when there is language barrier in Vietnam, haha ! We were all talking in English but the people there does not understand English.

DaNang Airport Restaurant is the easiest restaurant to find at DaNang Airport, haha ! Exit from the arrival hall and turn left then you will see this restaurant on your left. The restaurant is clean and their service is good but due to language barrier, we are having hard time understanding what they are trying to say and also having hard time explaining to them what we want. The food is good, i enjoy eating in this restaurant and there is free wifi available.
After lunch we continue our journey by walking to the nearest bus stop which is roughly 2.6 km away while carrying our heavy backpack, haha !

At the bus stop we did not wait for long for the bus to arrive and we take the bus number 1 all the way to Hoi An.

Once arrived at Hoi An we make our way by foot again to look for hotel at a backpacker street of Hai Ba Trung. We walked for about 4.2 km to the street of Hai Ba Trung and found our hotel there. We stayed in Lucky House Hotel (Click Here For More Details).
We quickly settle in and take a few minutes of rest, then we are off to explore Hoi An. This place is said to be as an Ancient Town and is recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. (Source).
The view in Hoi An is really different between day and night. Before the day turns dark we were able to spot a few local people selling food by the road side, so we decided to try the food.
Eating by the road side in Vietnam is like this, all the chairs a short and some of the place might not even have table for you to eat on, so we only place our food on the chair.

I am not sure what the local people there call this but it taste and looks like our local Malaysian Satay but is wrap with vegetables and with some special Vietnam sauce i guess, haha ! It taste good, i like the chicken and sauce but don't really like the vegetables.
We visit the walking and cycling town which is situated in the Ancient Town of Hoi An. There is no car or even motorcycle allowed in this area. The town is nicely lit with a lot of lanterns. It looks beautiful at night.
This town is actually streets by the river bank with a lot of shops, souvenirs, food and cloths. Well, i would say that this is a shopping heaven, if you are really into buying some traditional Vietnamese items or souvenirs. The town is very lively with background music playing. A lot of tourist here from the western country enjoying their time at cafes and pub. Hey, beer is cheap here ! It only cost 5000 ₫ which is roughly about RM 1, you are going to drink till you drop ! haha .. !
We were starving when we finish walking through the town and it was way past dinner time but we decided to look for dinner anyway. After walking for awhile, we found a suitable hawker stall for us to dine in.

Food here is nice, even thought it is just a road side hawker stall, their service is really good and the food taste good too. After a lovely dinner, we were all tired so we head back to hotel for a good rest and get ready for a new day tomorrow !
